Carlos Alberto Sanchez is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at San Jose State University. His research deals primarily with Latin American philosophy and Hispanics/Latinos in the US. More specifically, a book to be published by SUNY Press explores the phenomenology of the Mexican philosophy Jorge Portilla, http://www.sunypress.edu/p-5573-the-suspension-of-seriousness.aspx, while a manuscript currently in progress defines, what he calls, a "post-immigrant" identity and the issues/crises of subjectivity related to that.
